Backyard bee keeping morning workshop and Bee crafternoon – Sydney

Saturday 27th October – Local apiarist and bee expert, Stuart Gibb shares his experience keeping native stingless bees and European honey bees in your backyard. Learn how to attract all kinds of bees to your garden to improve pollination and biodiversity, as well as practical tips for keeping hives. A highlight is the ‘split’ of the garden’s native bee hive and seeing inside the wonderful structures these sugarbag bees make (tetragonula carbonaria). Morning tea & honey tasting included. Morning Bee Workshop: 9:30am – 12pm. (morning tea provided)
Crafternoon: 12:30pm – 2:30pm. Make your own beeswax wrap, how to make a bee hotel and garden craft.
