Discover the world of native bees with Tim Heard of Sugarbag bees and author of the multi award winning book Native Bee Keeping. Tim’s engaging presentation covers the bee biology of social and solitary native bees, the importance of bees in natural systems and agriculture and keeping stingless bee hives for pets and pollination. It will also include a demonstration and discussion on how to split a Sugarbag bee hive.

Morning tea is provided at this workshop and there will be time for questions.

There are a number of items available for purchase on the day including Good bug hotels for solitary bees, Australian Native Bee posters by Gina Cranson and Tim Heard’s “Native Bee Keeping”.

There is a fee of $25 for the workshop payable upon booking.
